  • Understand the Exam Pattern: The TNPSC Group 4 exam typically consists of two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A covers topics like General Tamil/General English, and Part B includes subjects like General Studies (aptitude and mental ability) relevant to the post.
  • Know the Marking Scheme: Each correct answer in the TNPSC Group 4 exam usually carries one mark. However, there might be negative marking for wrong answers. Make sure to understand if there’s any penalty for incorrect responses.
  • Determine the Total Marks: Calculate the total marks you obtained by adding the marks you received in Part A and Part B. Ensure to consider both correct and incorrect answers, including any penalties for wrong responses.
  • Check Previous Year Cutoffs: Review the cutoff marks of previous year’s TNPSC Group 4 exams to get an idea of the typical range. This can help you gauge how well you performed relative to other candidates.
  • Consider Factors Influencing Cutoff: Cutoff marks can vary each year based on factors like the difficulty level of the exam, the number of vacancies, the number of candidates appearing for the exam, and reservation categories. Keep these factors in mind while analyzing your performance.
  • Compare Your Score: After calculating your total marks, compare them with the expected cutoff marks based on previous years’ trends and the difficulty level of the current exam. This comparison will give you an idea of whether you are likely to meet the cutoff criteria.
